Bootstrapping trust: enabler specification (D3.8 v2.0)

Bootstrapping trust answers a single concern in the network management cluster, establishing trust in a new element, and was specified under task T3.5.

It sits with 4 other network management enablers in the catalogue (Micro-segmentation, Access control, Compliance and Flow control), each specified separately for a concern of its own.

Bootstrapping trust was documented twice. This record is the v2.0 text, released with deliverable D3.8 at 10 pages. The v1.0 text of Bootstrapping trust, released with D3.4, is held separately at 13 pages, a different deliverable rather than a copy of this one, so a citation should name which of the two it read.

This edition covers the container form instead, where the steps are verifying a VNF container’s integrity and provisioning its authentication credentials.
